Meet Our Top Hat Potty Cover
The Top Hat Potty Cover fits perfectly on the top rim of the potty. It makes the Elimination Communication (EC) experience for your little one more comfortable and will also absorb any splashes. We found that it was best to have at least two of the Top Hat Potty covers on hand - the one that comes with the potty itself and then a spare. This means that one of the covers can be in the wash while the other is in use.

1. Place the potty cover on top of the Top Hat Potty by attaching one side and pulling the cover over the top
2. While seated, place the Top Hat Potty between your thighs
3.Hold your baby by the waist or thighs, depending on how they respond, and help them sit on the Top Hat Potty.
4. Find a bathroom to dispose of the pee or poop
5. Remove the potty cover, and clean the Top Hat Potty thoroughly with soap and water.

Cleaning & Care: Throw the seat cover in your washing machine - wash warm, lay flat to dry, do not bleach. A spare seat cover is super handy so you can wash one, while your spare is drying, and another being used on the potty!
End of Life: please find a second home for your Top Hat Potty and spare covers when you are done with them. If the Top Hat Potty Cover is at the end of it’s life, please use the landfill bin.

All Top Hat Pottys from CaliWoods come with one cover. We recommend a spare cover so that you can still have one on your potty while the other one is in the wash. Having a cover is important because it makes the baby more comfortable while sitting on top of the Top Hat Potty, otherwise their bottom will be directly on the plastic which is hard and could be cold. They will be able to relax more easily and you will have a better chance of success with EC. The cotton cover also helps to absorb any wee that might splash or not quite make it into the potty on the odd occasion.

The covers will last the full 12 months of potential use of the Top Hat Potty and then will be able to be passed onto another baby. Top Hat Pottys can be used from 0-12 months of age.
